Touch-a-Truck™ provides the unique opportunity for children to explore vehicles of all types, including public service, emergency, utility, construction, landscaping, transportation, delivery, and just plain cool – all in one place! Children are allowed to touch their favorite vehicles, get behind the wheel, and meet the people who help build, protect, and serve our community. Crafts, games, and food trucks are also part of the day.

The event is scheduled to occur from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on April 25, 2026, at Greenbrier Mall in Chesapeake, Virginia.

There are currently three ticket options:
• General admission:
    • Single ticket: $5
    • Family pack of 4 tickets: $15
    • Family pack of 5 tickets: $22
• VIP tickets:
    • Single ticket: $15
    • Family pack of 4 tickets: $50
    • Family pack of 5 tickets: $60

Admission tickets are required for everyone over the age of 1. Infants under the age of one years old are free.

VIP tickets allow attendees to arrive one hour earlier than the general public. In addition, VIP guests receive a special goodie bag filled with items from our sponsors.

VIP hour starts at 9 a.m. and goes until the general public admission at 10 a.m.

Unfortunately, if you leave the event space, re-entry is not allowed.

Public service and emergency vehicles, heavy machinery, farm equipment, construction trucks, and many more will be featured at this year’s event.

Yes! Touch-A-Truck™ is designed for children and adults of all ages.

Attendees will have the option to purchase food and refreshments from local food trucks conveniently located on site. It’s important to note that outside food and drinks are not permitted, and alcohol is strictly prohibited during the event. This ensures a safe and enjoyable experience for all participants.

You will have the opportunity to touch, explore, and learn about the vehicles on display, and meet the people who operate them

We will have a quiet hour from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. when there will be no horns, lights or sirens to allow those with sensory issues or sensitive hearing to attend and enjoy the event.

Yes, there will be additional activities and entertainment planned alongside vehicle exploration to enhance the overall experience for attendees.

Parking will be free and available with designated areas for sponsors, exhibitors, volunteers, and attendees. On the day of the event, signage will be posted to guide and assist attendees in finding appropriate parking areas.

Absolutely! Photography is allowed and encouraged to capture memorable moments during the event.

Yes, the vehicles will be operated by professionals who can offer information, demonstrations, and answer questions about their respective vehicles.

Touch-a-Truck™ is scheduled to proceed regardless of weather conditions, with contingency plans in place to ensure a smooth experience in case of inclement weather. Prompt updates will be communicated to attendees in such cases; however, it’s important to note that refunds will not be provided in the event of a cancellation due to adverse weather conditions.

Touch-a-Truck tickets are non-refundable as this event serves as a primary fundraiser for Junior League of Norfolk-Virginia Beach’s community projects. There are no exceptions to this policy.

While we love pets, for the safety and comfort of all attendees, pets are not permitted at the event, except for service animals.
